Annette E. (Fortin) Luko 69, of Terryville CT, loving wife of Stephen N. Luko, passed from
this life peacefully on Sunday, May 29, following a long illness. Born in East Hartford in 1953, daughter of the late William and Anna (Gaudette) Fortin, she grew up in East Hartford, and attended local schools there. She was a resident of Terryville for 35 years. Annette worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, working for The Travelers Insurance
Company and numerous smaller companies. She recently retired from the Housing Authority Company. Annette enjoyed trips to Pennsylvanis to see her threeyear-
old granddaughter and vacations with family. She loved cooking, baking and homemaking
and always looked forward to visits from her two sons. She also adored her cats and dogs
over the years.
She was simple person and enjoyed the simple things in life. She will be especially remembered for her kindness and caring nature. Besides her husband Stephen of 43 years, Annette is survived by a son, Nicholas and his wife Annelise, and granddaughter Avery of Shrewsbury, Pa.; a son, Stephen and his partner Caroline Frank of Rutherford, N.J.; a brother, Francis P. Fortin of Bristol; a sister, Dorothy Thibault of East Hartford; a niece, Christine Thibault of East Hartford; and an extended family. Annette was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Fortin and a sister, Jacqueline Fortin.
Annette’s family and friends gathered Monday, June 6 at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main
Street, Terryville, for a service. Burial followed in Hillside Cemetery,Terryville.
